Young talents of women's basketball at the sports medical examinations at the Serbian Institute of Sport and Sports Medicine

Young basketball player started a sports medical checkup today at the Serbian Institute of Sport and Sports Medicine. The Department of Sports Medicine and Psychology will perform the following sports medical procedures: basic blood tests, anthropometric measurements, ECG and physical examinations.

Besides implementing a program of free basketball school for girls, '' The movement for women's basketball '', in cooperation with the Serbian Institute of Sport and Sports Medicine, has organizes free medical examinations for all its members at the Department of Sports Medicine and Psychology in Kosutnjak. The school "The movement for women's basketball Marina Maljkovic" for this season has sparked huge interest. Almost a hundred new members decided to join the '' movement '' and follow in the footsteps of Dabović sisters, Sonja Petrovic, Jelena Milovanovic and other Serbian national team members.

It all started when the little basketball players made a solemn promise to work, respect other basketball players and coaches, be loyal and always act in the spirit of fair play. In the first six months of 2016, more than a hundred girls attended the free school of basketball of Marine Maljkovic. And the goal of the "Movement" is to have more than 500 basketball players training there. Free school of basketball for girls is held in the elementary school "Mihailo Petrovic Alas" and "Kralj Petar I" and sports centers "Milan Gale Muškatirović" and "Vračar". As of this month the trainings will be conducted in Pozarevac, hall "Vizura sport", in Zemun, as well as in the French School in Belgrade. In the next period, the program will be carried out at other locations, throughout Serbia and the Republic of Srpska.
