Female volleyball players at control of physical performance at the Serbian Institute of Sport and Sports Medicine
Female volleyball junior national team of Serbia was tested at the Serbian Institute of Sport and Sports Medicine. The players had full sports-medical check-ups and psychology testing, and they also had control of physical performance on the Isokinetic dynamometer. Our volleyball players will participate in the European Championship in September in Hungary and Slovakia.

Our young volleyball players had the following tests done: biochemical blood tests, anthropometric measurements, ECG at rest, general medical examination, ultrasound of the heart and ergospirometry and spirometry tests.
The isokinetic diagnostics is the process of assessment of neuromuscular function which records, with computer precision, in active motion, all the necessary parameters (strength of certain muscle groups, torque, fatigue index, joint range of motion and actual performance of specific muscle groups). Tests of mathematical analysis yield detailed insight into the state of joint function, relationship of agonists and antagonists and bilateral comparisons of the same muscle groups.

Event “What do you train” in Obrenovac
Serbian Institute of Sport and Sports Medicine took part in one more event of the campaign “What do you train” that was held 06 July, in Obrenovac. One of the activities of the campaign was opening a renovated Sports - Cultural Center “Obrenovac”, which suffered extensive damage in the floods of May 2014. Renovation of the Centre was financed by the Kingdom of Norway. On behalf of the Serbian Institute of Sport and Sports Medicine the attendees of the event were addressed by the Director, Mr. Goran Bojovic. Present the event “What do you train” was also the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, the Ambassador of Norway to Serbia, Sanes Arne Bjornstad, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Vanja Udovicic, and others.

Besides the director Goran Bojovic, representatives of thee Institute also present at the event were Dr Jadranka Plavsic, sports medicine specialist, nurse Tamara Nikolic and associates of the Center for motor research and analytics in sports, Nemanja Badnjarević i Marko Vasiljevic.
